Reports say three persons have been isolated at the Nsawam Government hospital in the Eastern Region for supposedly showing signs of the Ebola attack.

MultiTV's Matilda Womegah, who visited the hospital, said blood samples of the patients have been taken for medical testing at the Noguchi Memorial Institute.

Among the patients is a 16-year-old girl who went to the infirmary Thursday with blood in her urine.

Matilda continued that a 56-year-old man also came in from a nearby village, Adawso, with blood in his urine.

The third patient's case, she said, was a peculiar one because he had blood in his urine and faeces and was in a feverish condition.

He is a 53-year-old long distance driver, who plies the Accra-Kumasi route.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Health Service is awaiting test results of a Burkinabe, who was admitted at a health facility in Bawku in the Northern Region.

Reports suggested he showed signs of the Ebola virus.

Ebola scare: Lydia Forson narates her trip to Lagos Nigeria
So I had to rush to Lagos over the weekend. I must say it was one trip I wasn’t looking forward to.

I wore long sleeves, jeans and had two bottles of Sanitizer in my handbag. I think I must have annoyed people because I sanitised my hands every second, and nearly finished a bottle before I left Ghana.

I made sure people wouldn’t come near me, and didn’t care if they thought I was rude (chale the fear was real).

Anyways, as I checked in and went through immigration, I noticed all the workers had gloves on, with sanitizers at vantage points. I just thought to myself, “at least they are careful." I don’t know why, but I felt a sense of pride in how serious they seemed to be taking this.

So I got into Lagos, even more paranoid and was probably the first to get off the flight. I had filled my immigration card in-flight, so I just went straight to immigration. Without meaning to, I started making mental notes of the differences between the two countries and their safety precautions.

First thing I noticed was the workers didn’t have gloves on in Lagos. I saw one or two people, but generally everyone seemed to be going on with business as usual. After waiting for my luggage for over an hour, I noticed a queue to the exit.

Well, it turns out that we were all to fill out forms to see if we had symptoms of Ebola or not.( Same thing we did in Ghana) although I wondered how honest people would be. Were they just taking people’s words for it?

But then they appeared with little laser devices they point at our palms, apparently, this could detect if we had Ebola. Two points [for] Nigeria. I was impressed. In fact, I suddenly felt my paranoia going down. But then I wondered why they waited for us to be on ground stand around at luggage claim; I mean basically leave us to interact for nearly an hour before deciding to test us.

I was like, “wouldn’t it be too late considering how many people were there and how easily it would be to get the virus from an infected person.” The annoying person that I am proceeded to ask the man conducting the test, “why not do it immediately people get off the flight?” He simply said, “Oh Madam, that was the plan oh! But you know how these things are: we didn’t get time to."

I was left feeling like both Ghana and Nigeria were doing [it] “for show ."

Both countries were doing a lot to “show” their seriousness, but that’s as far as it was.

Anyways…that’s just part 1…..*sigh

Gyan’s lawyers after Castro fraudsters
The management of Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has warned against the commercialisation of his brand without authority.

According to the Black Stars captain’s manager, Samuel Anim Addo, their lawyers will soon be coming after those who are using his social media accounts to defraud people and put out damaging information most of which is in connection with the disappearance of his brother and friend Castro.

Castro and Gyan were at the Peace Holiday Resort, a beach resort in Ada in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, together with some friends for recreation when news broke a month ago that the former had drowned while jet skiing with a female friend.

The two have since not been found despite thorough searches carried out by the Marine Police and the Ghana Navy.

The drowning of the two, sparked loads of public debates both on-air and on social media. There had also been some spiritual connotations given to the disappearance with many conspiracy theories being peddled as well.

In an interview with StarrFMonline.com, Gyan’s manager said it is insensitive on the part of the culprits to take advantage of the sad disappearance of his client’s best friend as well as impersonate him for all the wrong reasons and actions.

“They haven’t been fair to my client at all. They are insensitive and will be stopped,” Addo stated.

“We remain steadfast in our search for Castro but in doing that we urge the public to refrain from any attempt to cash in on the situation."

According to him, they have written to the social networking sites that have been used to con the unsuspecting public.

Davido Post Photo With Military, Says He Is Protected From Ebola
Nigerian singer Davido, who is now in Cote D’Ivoire, shared a photo with military men saying that he or the country is protected from Ebola.

Ebola is one of the deadly diseases that is spreading rapidly in West of Africa.

When the “Skelewu” hit maker arrived the nation’s capital Abidjan early Friday, he immediately took to his Instagram to post an image of himself being surrounded by a group of white military men with the next caption: “Protected!! 0 EBOLA!!”

At the same time, Davido tweeted: “God is bigger than Ebola!! Live your life!! One love!”

Now the question is: was Davido suggesting the military men will protect him from the disease while he is in Cote D’Ivoire or he will be joining the group to spread awareness during his stay in the country?

Sensational Nigerian Christian leader, Prophet T.B. Joshua, has thrown a challenge to the governments of countries where persons have contracted the Ebola virus, to invite him over to cure the infected persons with his ‘anointed water.’

T.B. Joshua has however asked Ebola victims, not to troop to his church in Lagos, Nigeria, but remain in their home countries and respect new immigration laws on the deadly virus.

“I stand here to say, each country that is affected, I am going to donate 2000 bottles of anointing water. Not only that, if they invite me in the capacity of government, I would not only send the anointing water, I will carry the anointing water myself to the country.

“Like the land of Liberia, or the land of Sierra Lone, the land of Guinea, if they invite me in the capacity of government, I would not only send 2000 anointing water, I trust the anointing water. I would go there myself. Here is TB Joshua, ready to go anywhere,” the controversial prophet told his congregation last Sunday.

He added: “You know this anointing water I am talking about, at the beginning of the year, I said there was going to be a deadly disease. If you have it in your note, let me see your hand. I said it would be a deadly disease; a disease that would come out and would be very deadly. I mentioned it as one of the prophesies and if you go on the internet, you would find it. And when this anointing water came out, one of the major reasons why I could not allow it everywhere was because I was foreseeing what was coming”.

The deadly Ebola virus has killed close to a 1000 people across West Africa, and has terrified the rest of the world.

Liberia, one of the worst affected countries, on Wednesday declared a 90-day state of emergency and shut a major hospital where several staff were infected, including a Spanish priest.

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the country’s President, said: “Ignorance and poverty, as well as entrenched religious and cultural practices, continue to exacerbate the spread of the disease.”

“The government and people of Liberia require extraordinary measures for the very survival of our state and for the protection of the lives of our people,” Sirleaf said in an official statement.

Hammer To The Test Can He Make A ‘Hit-Maker’ Again?
Bessa, Offei and Hammer
Legendary beat producer and Chief Executive of Last 2 Music Group, Edward Nana Poku Osei, known widely as Hammer, has been put to test to identify an amateur music talent that can be transformed into a celebrated hit-maker that would be at par with the big names in contemporary Ghanaian music.

For the last decade and a half, Hammer has earned a reputation for grooming and adding the ‘Midas touch’ to the careers of successful musicians like Sarkodie, Tinny, Edem, Obrafour, Castro, and Kwaw Kesse ‘Abodam’. He also made stars out of the likes of Obour, Kwabena-Kwabena, Okyeame Kwame and several others.

MTN and Farmhouse Productions have appointed Hammer as one of the three resident judges for the 2014 edition of the MTN Hit-Maker music reality contest, putting him to test to defend his reputation as a genius who identifies and transforms amateur music talents into superstars. He has a special ability to identify potential stars in their raw state and push them into limelight.

Hammer joins two other judges: Bessa Simons, a seasoned musician and keyboardist who is also the vice president of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), and the forever young Ofie Kodjoe, a renowned singer and composer.

Winner of the first edition of the MTN Hit-Maker, Naterial, was given an amount of GH¢100,000 to record and promote an album. Unfortunately his manager, Quick Action, has not been able to make much out of the winner and the money, apart from the album and a couple of concerts.

Naterial is still not among the top notch of Ghanaian superstars despite his passion, dedication, huge talent as well as the cash given to his manager—an indication that his handlers did not live up to expectation.

The second edition was won by Koo Ntakra, a young talent as humble as a lamp but with an ability to impress whenever he grabs the microphone.

Koo has justified himself as a hardworking artiste with a promising career and seems to be picking up rather fast.

At least MTN has provided fame and money for Naterial and Koo Ntakra. The onus lies on them to either live their dreams or waste the opportunity.
At the launch of the third edition, MTN announced a prize package of a recording and artiste management deal worth GH¢100,000.00 for the winner and said the the theme for season 3 is “Dream It, Live It”.

Producers, Farmhouse Productions, have also said amateur musicians who want to take part in the season 3 should either submit their demos to the various MTN offices across the country, upload the demos on MTNplay portal or drop them at the various partner radio stations.

The responsibility now lies with judges Bessa, Offei and Hammer, as well as the voting public, to identify the amateur with the best potential of becoming a superstar.

But all eyes are on Hammer, not only because he is the newest judge in the contest, but because of his track record of making great oaks out of little acorns.

I was inspired by God ''Handkerchief'' - Lil Shaker
Lil Shaker
Ghanaian rapper and beat maker, Lil Shaker, says the lyrics of his new hit track, ‘Handkerchief’, were inspired by God after a long period of prayer.

According to Lil Shaker, aside the beat and everything, his new single is more of a gospel tune than a secular one.

“Charley it is God oo. He inspired me to do this song. I actually didn’t really sit down to write the song. Everything just came to me when I heard Magnom producing this beat. The lyrics of the ‘Handkerchief’ song just came into my head and I started writing. It is more of a gospel song,” he told NEWS-ONE.

‘Handkerchief’ was released on Monday evening and has become a popular song within days, showing convincing potential of becoming a chart topper. The song, featured Kumasi Ko-Jo Cue and has a blend of Afro pop and hip pop groove, which makes music lovers want to listen to it over and over again.

Handkerchief happens to be the second single Lil Shaker, who is also known as ‘Captain Hook’, has released since he signed on to the leading multi-purpose entertainment company, BBnZ Live.

“The inspiration was solely from God. Currently we are working on the video for the song and trust me, it will be a blast,” he added.

Philip Yaw Akoto Atiemo, as he is christened, has over the years, proven to be one of the most creative and dynamic acts the industry has ever seen. He promised to put up his best at what he does.

Davido addresses beef with Wizkid, says he was upset about Wizkid's shade
In an exclusive interview with Sahara TV, Davido, who is currently in the US, said his recent online beef with Wizkid was because of the shade Wizkid threw regarding their concerts in the US...

"It's not beef at all..but I'm the type of person if I feel something..to me everything you do, you don't hit your brother down. This is the first time I'm saying this but the only reason I was upset was because of the NY concert. I was even going to tweet like you know 'make sure everybody turn up for my brother Wizkid's concert' and he threw a shade like that. I'm not going to take that...that's why I went and said what I said. But it's all cool, at the end of the day, we got to keep it on the music. Shout out to him. I'm still a big fan. It was never nothing but don't throw a shade at me...especially when we were on the flight earlier. By the way, check the numbers on my last concert. Let's leave it like that.." David said. Kunta Kinte: talks, life story and health issues - blissgh
They hit the limelight when they released One Gallon in 2005. The two brothers, Bradez then inched their way further into the hearts of music lovers when they followed it with Simple in 2009.

However, before Simple could hit the market, one half of the Bradez duo, Kunta Kinte, suffered a stroke at the age of 21 years and found himself bedridden.

Telling his story, Kunta told Showbiz in a telephone interview from his base in Kumasi: “it was a Monday and I was in school”.

Kunta was then a Level 200 student at the School of Performing Arts, Legon. “I remember I had recorded my verse in Simple and five days after that I began feeling very feverish.

“ I thought it was malaria so I went to the Legon Hospital. However, after leaving the hospital, I felt like I was sinking. I was sort of falling. It is difficult to explain but I realised something was happening to me.

“ I woke up later to find myself in one of the beds at the Legon Hospital. I was told I lost consciousness and I was in a coma for a day or so. I was later refered to Korle-Bu after spending five days at the Legon Hospital”, he said.

According to Kunta, 26, when he came from his unconsciousness, he realised something was not right with him. “I couldn’t talk, I couldn’t move my right hand and right leg. Infact, the right side of my body was paralysed. There was no strength whatsoever in that part of my body. I later found out that I had suffered a stroke” he said.

Touching on how he felt when he discovered he was ‘bedridden’, Kunta said “I was devastated at first but I knew I had to fight to overcome it. I am a very energetic person who loves to sing, dance and there is no way I wanted to be confined to a bed for the rest of my life.

“ When it happened, I virtually had to be helped in everything I did. My mother and brothers had to support me because I could not do anything on my own and I am grateful to them and God for how far he has brought me.

“Initially, I thought it wouldn’t take long to get well but I have realised it is not so. I admit it bothers me that it has taken this long. It’s been five years now but I am very grateful to God.

“ To think that before I couldn’t do anything on my own and now I have regained 80 percent of my strength is very good. I can talk, sing, and since last year, even drive myself to do my physiotherapy. The feeling is just great.

“There are people who have suffered stroke and couldn’t regain their strength. Some have even lost their lives so I am very happy to be alive and getting stronger each day. I can even cook for you” he added with glee.

Asked what he could cook, Kunta amidst laughter said “ I can cook Indomie and rice. It has not been easy but I am about 80 percent well now. I am working hard to add the other 20 percent to be fully recovered and that I know will be soon. I am very grateful to be alive” he added.

Touching on his music career, Kunta said “ I don’t want to come back on the music scene half-baked. I want to come back with a bang. So I am taking my physio very seriously so I can join my brother and together with him, Bradez will be bigger and better than before.

Kunta is very grateful to God, his mother, brothers, family, Samini and a host of others who have been very supportive of him.

“I am thankful to everyone who has been there for me. I will plead with my fans to be patient with me and wait for Kunta because I will be back” he added.

I’m not musically dead - Ofori Amponsah
Although his maiden gospel album did not do well on the market as he had expected, highlife musician-turned-pastor, Ofori Amponsah, says nothing will make him go back to secular music.

“I receive calls regularly from friends and fans who keep asking me to go back to highlife music since I am not doing well in the gospel scene.

Whenever I hear such comments, I brush them off because I know what I want to achieve with my gospel music” he told Showbiz in an interview on Tuesday.

According to Ofori Amponsah, although his earlier songs were mostly decent love songs, still, there is no way he would go back to secular music as his admirers suggest.

“What people forget is that I am a born-again person and my new rules do not permit me to do secular music. Yes, many people wish I did secular music but I am sorry that cannot happen” he said.

To prove to his fans and friends that he was not “dead” on the music scene as many people believe,
