The P3kakra rapper in an interview with Pluzz FM defended his social media post which stated that Ofori Amponsah wasn’t called by God…”
Waddle said;
“First of all, I just want people to know if I post something it’s not about money, I just wanted to say the truth. So I’m thinking, we all know Ofori is a big guy in the industry and we are learning from people like him and so he can’t just say he is leaving highlife to serve God only to return to highlife again. I was confused, how can he do the highlife and it wouldn’t conflict with the work of God he is doing. I posted what I was thinking online to see other people’s opinion. I didn’t want to be disrespectful and all that.
“And he stated before leaving that because God called him he was not going to be doing all the worldly songs anymore. I listened to an interview he did in the Western Region online and he actually said he was coming back because he needed money. He said he is coming back because of the love he had for highlife but I don’t know. My problem is, if God called you to serve him, you can just do it a few years and put it on hold and say you are coming back to highlife music. It’s just wrong. Unless the kind of highlife he will do will not interfere with his calling. But if you say God called to serve and you go and come back to what you said God had called you from then you don’t know what you are doing.
“There are a lot of people learning from you. I also listened to the interview where he was reacting to my statement but at the end of the day he said he needed something. If you’re doing it for the money then it’s funny because the church gives you offering or he wants to say the offering is too little. I don’t have a problem but what I want people to know is that we are learning from them so he has to know what he is doing so we follow.
“Ofori has his own money but if I meet him and he needs something I can help him, but not to sound disrespectful, we can’t keep saying things we can’t stick to because he is an icon to us. I’m not saying he broke or anything like that.”
