Appietus: I am ready to singPerhaps when he sang on Sarkodie’s Azonto Fiesta, 5Five’s Mujee Baya; and Bosso Nkena, and NY’s I Like That , sound engineer and music producer, Appietus, was giving a hint that he could sing too.

And last month, Appietus released his first single as a recording artiste. The song Kuntunimu features Castro.

Although he didn’t do much singing on Kuntunimu, Appietus said he is ready to do more singing on his subsequent works to hit the market soon.

Talking to Showbiz, the award winning sound engineer said his latest song is a teaser to what is about to happen since many people have doubted his singing capability.

Kuntunimu which means under the blanket in Twi is to tell people what to expect from me when I start dropping my singles. ”

According to Appietus, he felt the time is right to show the world the other side of him. “I did well when I featured on Azonto Fiesta, Mujee Baya and Bosso Nkena and I know the singles I am about to release would be accepted by Ghanaians”

He explained that ever since he started featuring on other musicians’ songs, his fans and the musicians themselves have mounted pressure on him to come out with his own songs.

“Initially, I did not want to sing even though I had the talent but I have no option right now than to go all out since a lot of people are requesting songs from me. I can say without fear that Appietus as singer will be a house-hold name soon” he added.

Black Stars money being shared in Brazil – Report
The website of the Brazilian TV channel “Globo” has published photos and a video of the $3m being delivered to the #Ghana players in Brasilia.

They broadcast footage of the money being transported in a huge convoy of police cars. The appearance money was owed to the players and promised to them before the #WorldCup.

Earlier in the week, there were rumours the Black Stars could boycott training ahead of the game if their demand for payment was not met.

As unrest grew, Ghana President John Dramani Mahama personally assured the players that they would receive their money.

The Ghana coach claims the money had to be delivered in cash because many of the players do not have bank accounts based in Ghana.

Statement: Yaa Pono Did Not Claim - I Dey Feel You Die -Yava Global
Further to the press release distributed yesterday by Suburban Records, the Management of Yaa Pono seeks to clarify the matter in relation to his position in order to avoid further confusion. Invited to appear on the BBC’s “Global Beats” program Pono performed “I Dey Feel You Die” as a personal request from BBC’s DJ Rita Ray, who loves the musicality, and sentiment of the song. At no point during his interview with Rita did Pono claim the song. He also discussed his fans’ reaction to his song “Moasem.”

Asked about his thoughts on “I Dey Feel You Die” – meaning, lyrics and energy – Pono simply answered from his perspective. His explanation of his part in the creation of the song is clear. Subjective listening can cause unnecessary sensation and caution should always be utilised when listening to edited interviews.

We are aware that the rock group Faint Medal have now unfortunately disbanded due to internal issues and that their former lead singer, Syn, is now a member of the rock group, Dark Suburb. Working in collaboration with Syn the former lead singer of Faint Medal to complete the original song, Yaa Pono recorded his lyrics and vocals at Wadada Promotions Studio in the presence of the song’s producer, Kilo Beats whilst former Faint Medal alumni, Kyekyeku provided guitar.

The potential re-release of the song is a welcome development as the sentiment, creativity, power of the song and the high standard of production from renowned Producer Kilo Beats deserve to be heard on a wider scale.
Yaa Pono, an artist who derives inspiration from his experiences and wide love of different genres of music has written a full and lengthy library of rock music and lyrics potentially for release in the future. However, his prime and only focus is on the imminent release of his upcoming album, “Sea Blue”.

On behalf of our Client, Yaa Pono, we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all those who continue to support Pono’s career through positive acts and words. This has been especially helpful in our first year of management of this much respected multi-talented artist.

Yaa Pono Accused Of Stealing Song
Ghanaian rock band Dark Suburb is accusing Yaa Pono of hijacking their song, ‘I Dey Feel You Die”.
In a press release Suburban Records wrote;

“We would like the general public to know Yaa Pono does not own “I Dey Feel You Die” as he claimed in his interview with BBC’s Rita Ray. “I Dey Feel You Die” was penned by Syn, the lead vocalist of Faint Medal and was produced by Kilo, and featured Yaa Pono.

“Faint Medal started working on the song with Kyekyeku and the plan was to put Sarkodie on it but Kilo who was heavily linked with Yaa Pono asked us to feature Yaa Pono and we agreed.”

“After the record was done, it sounded great and Faint Medal thought about a joint album with Yaa Pono but that never materialized because his label never gave Faint Medal a contract. They have performed the song with Yaa Pono severally but has never handed the song to him, so to hear him on BBC Global Beats claiming the song shocked us.”

“I Dey Feel You Die” was recorded in late 2011 and released in 2012 and the still video on Youtube has about 3000 views now.
Our attention has been drawn to a hijack of not only the song title but also the entire production which Yaa Pono revealed he was going to release later this year.”

“We wish to inform the world that Dark Suburb will be releasing this song in a few weeks. We bought the song from Faint Medal and re-recorded it and currently working on the video too.

Are You In An Unhealthy Relationship?Tired of being with the wrong guys? Learn how to attract positive people.
My 30s was the decade of unhealthy relationships. These relationships dimmed my light and made me unconscious to the reality of what love was.
While I should have known better, it was still hard for me to walk away. I've seen this time and time again with women who contact me about their relationship dilemmas and with clients I've coached. If it were easy, more women would leave sooner instead of spending so much time with the wrong guys and in the wrong relationships.
Are You In An Unhealthy Relationship?

It's easier to spot if someone else's relationship is healthy or not since you're not involved. When it comes to your own relationship, it can be trickier to know because the signs are subtle and can leave you feeling uncertain and second- guessing yourself.
If you answer "yes" to any of the scenarios below, chances are your relationship is unhealthy.
  1. My partner is mentally, physically or emotionally abusive to me.
  2. I am constantly defending or rationalizing my partner's behaviors to my friends, family and myself.
  3. If my best friend was in the kind of relationship I'm in, I would tell her to leave.
  4. I keep hoping my partner will change for the better.
  5. I am only with him because we have kids together.
  6. I don't look forward to seeing or talking to him.
  7. I am unhappier when I'm with him and at the thought of him.
  8. I am suspicious of my partner and am afraid to confront him.
  9. I feel drained after spending time with him.
  10. I don't feel good about myself when I'm with him.
  11. Things don't feel quite right with us.
  12. I don't feel supported.
  13. We only connect on a superficial level (e.g. sexual chemistry).
  14. I can't talk to my partner openly.
  15. I feel like I can't completely be myself. I act and behave in a certain way so that my partner will like or love me more.
Note: These scenarios go both ways. For instance, if your partner doesn't feel supported in the relationship, your relationship is unhealthy.
I know how hard it is to walk away from a guy and relationship that is not healthy for you. Yet when you keep focused on the reality of your situation instead of how you want things to be, you will see things more clearly. Continuing to stay in an unhealthy relationship does not make it easier to walk away. When I left my unhealthy relationships, my love life shifted for the better.
Have The Courage To Walk Towards Something Better
Having the love you want and deserve takes courage. If you've been thinking about leaving and are having a hard time doing so, you may be focusing on what you don't want (i.e. that you don't want to start over again). When you focus on what you don't want, you will ignore what's wrong with your situation, keep getting more of the same or not change anything.
Instead, think of it not as leaving, but as walking toward a healthier relationship with someone else. This could mean freeing yourself to start meeting men who are at a good place in their lives.
If you're at the point where you are ready to move forward, these 10 steps will move you towards a healthier relationship. If you're not quite ready, take some time to heal yourself and then practice these 10 steps.
10 Steps For Moving Towards A Healthier Relationship
  1. Be kind and gentle to yourself. When things aren't working out the way you'd like, it's easy to judge yourself. Instead, be kind and gentle. Know that every relationship — healthy and unhealthy — serves a purpose. Each relationship is there for you to learn and grow from. The most important thing is how you respond to what happens to you.
  2. Don't take things personally. Whatever your partner did or didn't want to do, or however he treated you is based on his level of integrity (i.e. who he is and where he is in his life). You just happen to be the person who showed up at this time. Understanding this will better help you to not take things personally.
  3. Reflect on your role in this and past relationships. Reflect on the same issues and challenges that continue to come up in this and past relationships. Consider how you contributed to these issues and challenges. For instance, did you stir up troubling situations or escalate things by over-reacting? What unhealthy qualities and traits do the guys you've been with share? Why do you suppose you attracted these type of guys into your life? What lessons are you meant to learn from being with them? How can you feel like you deserve to be with a healthier man moving forward?
  4. Prepare yourself by doing the inner work. After you have figured out how you contributed to the issues and challenges in your relationships, do the inner work to improve yourself in those areas. For instance, if your tendency has been to avoid confrontation whenever sticky situations came up, you will want to work on being able to express yourself in the moment. Your greatest growth opportunities happen in situations where you feel especially challenged.
  5. Get clear on what you want. Determine the top five to seven things that are most important for you to have in your ideal partner and relationship. Let's say you want a partner who is loyal, trustworthy, affectionate, a good communicator, intelligent and active. And let's say you want to be in a relationship that is meaningful, flows with ease, is honest, supportive and respectful. Being clear on what you want makes it easier to stay on track instead of getting sidetracked by the wrong men and relationships.
  6. Practice being what you want. We attract who we are and who we are being — not what we want. For the qualities you identified in #5, practice being those very qualities with yourself and in your relationships with friends, family and co-workers. The more you embody these qualities, the more you will attract a partner and relationship with these qualities.
  7. Focus on what you want. If you tend to think about what you don't want, the things you don't want will keep showing up. Instead, keep your focus on the top five to seven things that are most important for you to have in your ideal partner and relationship.
  8. Choose in favor of what you want. Short-term decisions and choices have longer consequences. Whenever you have a choice or decision, make sure you move towards what you want. Ask yourself, "am I making a choice that will move me closer to what I want?"  Your answer will indicate what you should do.
  9. Trust in the process and outcome. It's human nature to want to feel in control of things, including love. When you find yourself trying to control, you will feel stressed, worried, concerned and unable to relax. When you are clear and focused on what you want, choosing in favor of those things and trusting in the process and outcome becomes easier. If you can truly understand that everything is happening for your greater good, you will be able to relax more easily and trust in what is meant to be.
  10. Get comfortable with the unknown. Get comfortable with the unknown by expanding your comfort zone. The reason this is important is that you will be changing yourself in positive ways, meeting men who are different and being treated in ways that you are not used to. All of these scenarios represent change. Even positive change that is outside of your comfort zone will feel uncomfortable. The more you expand your comfort zone, the more you will journey to love with ease and enjoyment.
True and Lasting Love Comes Only From A Healthy Relationship
Having true and lasting love takes courage to make changes from within, focus to stay the course and the strength to say "no" to guys and things that aren't good for you. It means letting go of baggage that no longer serves you and being open to good men you normally wouldn't be interested in. I encourage you to practice these 10 steps to a healthier relationship. Be courageous, let go of baggage, be open to good men, and you will find true and lasting love.
If you have realized you are now in an unhealthy relationship, what will you start doing to detach yourself from this relationship? Please share your comments below.

Kwesi Nyantakyi - match - fixing allegations

The President of Ghana's Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, was exposed after he was filmed agreeing to the team playing in rigged international matches, in return for payment of $170,000 per match.

The Telegraph and Channel 4's Dispatches launched a six-month investigation into match-fixing, after receiving information that suggested that some football associations were working with criminal gangs to rig scores in international games.

Reporters from The Telegraph went under cover, claiming to represent an investment company that wanted to "sponsor" matches during the tournament.
Christopher Forsythe, a registered Fifa agent and Obed Nketiah, a senior figure in the Ghanaian FA, reportedly bragged about employing corrupt officials who would rig matches played by Ghana.

The president of the country's football association then met the undercover reporter and finalised a contract which would see the team play in the rigged matches, in return for payment.

The contract stated that it would cost $170,000 (£100,000) for each match organised by the fixers involving the Ghanaian team, and would allow the bogus investment firm to appoint match officials and referees.

"You [the company] will always have to come to us and say how you want it to go...the result," said Mr Forsythe. "That's why we will get the officials that we have greased their palms, so they will do it. If we bring in our own officials to do the match...You're making your money."

FIFA agent Christoipher Forsythe (r.) and Ghanaian FA official Obed Nketiah (l.) meet with undercover reporters from The Telegraph, reportedly to discuss fixing games involving Ghana's national team

"You have to give them [the referees] something... they are going to do a lot of work for you, so you have to give them something," said Mr Nketiah.

Mr Forsythe said that match fixing was "everywhere" in football and that he could even arrange rigged matches between Ghana and British teams. "The referees can change the matches every time. Even in England it does happen," he said. "We will always choose associations/countries that we think we can corrupt their officials for all our matches."

Mr Forsythe and Mr Nketiah then introduced the undercover reporters to Kwesi Nyantakyi, the president of the Ghana FA, at a five-star hotel in Miami earlier this month shortly before his team played South Korea in Miami before heading to Brazil.

During the meeting in Florida, the president agreed to a contract that stated each match would cost the investment company $170,000 and that they could appoint the match officials for each game. A contract was drawn up that specified that “The Company will appoint and pay for the cost of the referees/match officials in consultation with an agreed Fifa Member association(s),” in direct breach of the rules that prohibit third parties from appointing officials, in order to protect their impartiality. During the meeting, the president suggested that the fictional investment company put on two matches after the World Cup to prove that they were able to organise games.

?“So why don’t you arrange matches?” said Mr Nyantakyi. “Let’s say there should be an experimental period for us to see how we do your work? There is an opportunity in August, and then in December, but I don’t know about that. But these months appear to be the only time that we can have any opportunity to play friendly games.”

When a reporter asked if the president was happy with the contract, as long as it reflected the experimental period he had requested, he replied, “Yeah these are the issues that I’ve got with it.”

“So we can work on that with a trial game?” asked the investigator.

“Yeah,” replied the president.

When they were later confronted about their operation, both Mr Forsythe and Mr Nketiah denied any involvement in a plot to fix matches. Mr Nketiah said: "These are false allegations and I will never in my life do such a thing."

Mr Nyantakyi said that he had not read the contract and he did not know about the deal to fix games. He said that the proposed match would have been handled by a licensed Fifa match agent and that he was unaware that Mr Forsythe had demanded £30,000 for the football association.

Issuing a statement Mr Forsythe, said: "To be frank everything I told you about the match fixing was a figment of my own imagination because I am so naive that I don't even know how matches are done. They were promises just to be able to get something off you."

The Ghanaian FA announced it has asked the Ghana Police Service to investigate Mr Forsythe and Mr Nketiah for "misrepresenting the GFA with an attempt to defraud".

The football body has also reported the matter to FIFA and CAF.

In a statement, it said: "We wish to assure the public that we will not tolerate such misrepresentations and we will seek strong sanctions against such individuals if such claims are found to be true."

Last week saw the first convictions of criminals in the UK for attempting to rig football matches, following an earlier investigation by this newspaper.
Chann Sankaran and Krishna Sanjey Ganeshan, businessmen from Singapore, and Michael Boateng, a former professional footballer, were found guilty of match–fixing after a six-week trial.

Sankaran and Ganeshan were sentenced to five years and Boateng 18 months. Sankaran and Ganeshan were found to have links to the notorious international match fixer Wilson Raj Perumal, and were said to be attempting to establish a network of corrupt footballers in Britain.

Instances of match fixing ahead of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa had prompted FIFA and its partners in the betting and law enforcement agencies to monitor all friendlies ahead of this World Cup.
