Melissa Steel came to prominence last year with “Kisses For Breakfast” and since then the British singer who is on track to be the UK’s answer to Rihanna has caught the attention of the biz with a MOBO Awardnomination for Best Newcomer and a coveted spot on MTV’s Brand New for 2015 list.
New track, “Burning Down”, which precedes her official second single, has a reggae and dancehall edge, helped by the addition of a verse by Nigerian mega star WizKid. ‘Burning Down’ is a reggae-dub inspired song (produced by KZ and written by Jada) and it’s one of my favourites so far,” Melissa says.
“I’m sure a lot of people who have been in a broken relationship will be able to relate to the lyrics in some way and I’m so happy that the super talented WizKid agreed to feature on a verse. He has added a vibe to the track which has given it a great edge!”.
